9 www.rnca.ca This is the 25th Anniversary of our Annual RNCA Crime Prevention Guide and covers the timely subject of Homeland Security Awareness, focusing on the potential radicalization of our youth, which can lead to acts of violence and terrorism, such as the tragic 2014 police shootings in Moncton, NB and the thwarted attack at the Halifax Shopping Centre. This publication is designed to educate and promote the public’s role in identifying and reporting potential Homeland Security concerns, and is made possible as a result of financial contributions from residents and business representatives throughout the province to support the activities of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Association and allows them to give back to their communities through donations to various local charities and youth-oriented programs. On behalf of Fenety Marketing and the RNCA, I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank each and every contributor of our 2015 Telephone Appeal. This unique publication is distributed free-ofcharge each year to schools, libraries and public facilities and it is also available online at RNCA's website at www.rnca.ca, making it easily accessible to everyone. Your comments or suggestions regarding these publications are always welcome and we look forward to speaking with you each year during our Annual Telephone Appeal. Respectfully, Mark T.
