He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942 and served with the Repair and Salvage Unit in France and Germany during World War II. He was discharged in 1946. He was a member of Tara Legion Branch 383 for 49 years. Gordon passed away on October 15, 1995. DAUBS, Eileen G. Eileen was born on July 18, 1924 in Lobo Township, ON. She enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy on May 20, 1943 and served as a ledger and pay writer with the Women’s Royal Canadian Naval Service (WRENS) during World War II. She was discharged on March 9, 1945 and married William Daubs. Eillen was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, the1939-45 War Medal, and the 1939-45 Star. She has been a member of Sir Arthur Currie Legion Branch 116 for 13 years. Eileen passed away on November 4, 1981. DAUBS, William J. William was born on September 23, 1922 in London, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy on October 1, 1940 and served as steward with the Royal Canadian Navy Volunteer Reserve in England, the Mediterranean area and the High Seas during World War II. He was discharged on September 28, 1945 due to medical reasons. He married Eileen, who also served in the Royal Canadian Navy. For his services William was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp, the 1939-45 Star, and the Atlantic Star. He was a member of Sir Arthur Currie Legion Branch 116 for 29 years. William passed away on March 20, 1992.
