57 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND CHARBONNEAU, Joseph Milton Joseph was born in Calabogie, Ontario, on April 13, 1918. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on February 1, 1941 and trained in Calgary, Alberta and Brandon, Manitoba before going overseas in England with the 23rd O.T.U. (RAF). Sergeant Wireless Air Gunner Charbonneau was killed in action inWorcestershire, England on May 7, 1942. CHEVALIER, Jean-Yves Jean-Yves was born on August 21, 1949, in Albanel, Québec. He enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces on January 4, 1967, with the Royal Canadian Air Force (Regular Force). He spent thirteen years of his career as a Radio Operator and fifteen others as a Communication Technician. He participated to a deployment with the Second United Emergency Force (UNEF II) and also did a tour of duty with the NATO in Lahr, Germany. Jean-Yves served until July 1, 1995. He resides in Bainsville, ON and is a 10-year active member with The Royal Canadian Legion and is currently with the Claude Nunney V.C. Memorial Branch 544. CLEMENTS, James Wesley James was born on February 1, 1926, in Toronto, Ontario. He enlisted in the Navy (Regular Force) in 1942 and served during World War II on the HMCS Kapuskasinguntil his release in 1945. He was a fifteen-year member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 345. James passed away on August 8, 2012.
