They marched through the mud, the snow, and the rain, With hearts full of courage, enduring the pain, Across foreign lands, in trenches they lay, Fighting for freedom, day after day. The poppies bloom in the fields once red, Where soldiers rest, where many have bled. Each petal a symbol, each color a song, A tribute to those who fought so long. Through the smoke, through the blast of the guns, They stood side by side, as brothers, as sons. Some never returned, their stories untold, Their sacrifices remain, both humble and bold. Yet here we are, in peace we now stand, On the shoulders of those who fought for this land. Their voices echo, through time and through space, A reminder of what they gave, in this sacred place. So, we wear the poppy, in memory we say, We will remember them, on this special day. For those who fell, and those still here, We honor their service, year after year. In the silence, in the still of the dawn, We remember the lives that continue to be gone. But in our hearts, their spirits remain, Forever in us, in joy and in pain. Let us never forget, let us never let go, The sacrifices made so our freedoms would grow. On this Remembrance Day, we stand side by side. With respect for the fallen, with pride we abide.
