21 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND ALDCORN, WilliamWalter William was born in Swinton Park, Grey County, Ontario on April 8, 1864, the son of William and Janet Knox Aldcorn. He married Annabella MacKinnon on April 25, 1911. They had five sons, Charles, Walter, Neil, Donald, and Tom. William served in the Army (Regular Force) during World War I. All of their five sons served in World War II. William Aldcorn passed away on March 9, 1940 in Priceville and is buried in the Swinton Park Cemetery in Grey County, Swinton Park, Ontario. ALLEN, William Boyd William was born in Port Elgin, New Brunswick, on September 30, 1934. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force (Regular Force) in 1952 and served in Canada and overseas until his release in 1984. He worked with Canadian Air for a number of years after his service in the air force. For his service, he received the CD Medal and Clasp and the Queen’s Jubilee Medal. ALLS, Allan Stuart Allan was born in Oshawa, Ontario, on August 28, 1943. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on November 1, 1961and was stationed with the Electronic Warfare Unit at St. Hubert, Quebec and other bases in Canada. After training on the Chipmunk, Harvard and T33, he converted to the CF 100 obtaining approximately 1200 hours prior to release and employment as a pilot with Air Canada. Allan enjoyed every minute as an Air Force pilot flying across North America experiencing the various inceptor squadrons of the RCAF and USAF. He was released from the RCAF on May 31, 1967. Allan Alls is the former Mayor of Erin, Ontario and been a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 442 in Erin for more than fifty years.
