167 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND HALL, Douglas E. Douglas was born on December 4, 1936, in Nixon, Ontario. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy in April 1956 and served as an able seaman with the Royal Canadian Naval Special Communications branch in HMCS Churchill and NRS Aklavik. He served on HMCS Assiniboine, HMCS St. Laurent and HMCS Fraser in the Pacific. After his discharge in 1961, he was employed by Canadian Bluebird Bus Company in Brantford, Ontario as Supervisor for 33 years and retired at the age of 58. Douglas has been a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Waterford Branch 123 for 45 years. HALL (CHAPMAN), Ethel Ethel was born in Derby, England on July 6, 1922. She enlisted in the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force in 1941 and served in England on a Polish Aircrew Flying Training Station during World War II. She was discharged in 1946. Ethel passed away on April 9, 2014. HALL, Reginald L. Reginald was born on June 17, 1938, in Waterford, Ontario. He enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1957 and served with the Royal Canadian Regiment for three years. He completed parachute jumps in Edmonton, AB before being discharged in 1959. Reginald died in a car accident on the Manitoba border on September 10, 1967, at the age of 29.
