153 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND GLYNN, Christina Mary Christina was born in Forteau, Labrador on December 7, 1954. She enlisted in the Navy on March 29, 1979, and served at CFB Esquimalt, CFB Lahr Germany, NGMC Ottawa, Kingston, Greenwood, Meaford, OP Cavalier, and Kiseljak, Bosnia in 1994-1995. She was released on April 30, 2007. On retirement, after 28 years, Christina transferred to the RCMP as a civilian clerk. She received the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal, United Nations Medal, Canadian Forces Decoration Medal and Peacekeeping Medal. She is a six-year member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 426. Chistina has resided in Newmarket, Ontario from 2007 to 2011 and from 2018 to present. GOLDEN, Charles R. Charles was born on February 13, 1892 in Southampton, Ontario. He enlisted in the Canadian Army on December 29, 1915 and served with the 160th Battalion, 2nd Machine Gun Brigade in France and Germany during World War I. After his discharge, he was part owner of the Golden Fish Company. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Tobermory Branch 290. Charles passed away in 1967. GOLDEN, J. Bruce Bruce was born in Montreal, Quebec on March 4, 1943. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army Reserves on September 21, 1959, and served through to December 4, 1967 in the Scots Fusiliers of Canada in Kitchener, Ontario. He did Cold War Atomic Training in Kitchener and Petawawa, Ontario. He married in 1967 and moved away. At the new Canadian War Museum in Ottawa, 2010, he found out he was listed as a Veteran. In 2010, he then joined The Royal Canadian Legion Renfrew Branch and currently is involved in the yearly Poppy Campaign. He has been residing in Renfrew since 1975 and is a fifteen-year member of The Royal Canadian Legion Renfrew Branch 148.
