Military Service Recognition Book 492 ONTARIO COMMAND WATSON, Sarah-Jane Sarah-Jane was born on March 17, 1937 in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland. She enlisted in the Army and served with the Women’s Royal Army Corps Army Postal Service in March of 1956 and served in Great Britain until her discharge on April 25, 1959. She was a proud member of the Corps of Commissionaires for approximately five years before her death. She was also a Life Member of Legion Branch 225. She passed away on December 18, 2004. WEAVER, Charles M. Charles was born in Woodford, Ontario on September 10, 1920. Enlisting in the Army in Owen Sound in August 1941, Charlie served in the Tank Corp during World War II. He served in Petawawa, England and Scotland in 1942, Sicily and Italy from July 1943 to 1945. His duties with RCE included repairs to roads and bridges, finding and lifting personnel, truck, and tank mines. He ended up in hospital for 8 months in England from April to December 1945, and was discharged in January 1946. Charles has been a member of the Port Hope Legion, Branch 30 for over 12 years and happily married to his wife for over 68 years. WATSON, Stanley G. Stanley was born on April 26, 1923 in Bancroft, ON. He enlisted in the Army on January 25, 1943 and served with the 7th Anti-Tank Regiment RCA in Holland, France, Italy and Africa during World War II. He was discharged in September of 1945. For his service, he was awarded the Italy Star, France and Germany Star and the 1939 – 1945 Star. He was a Legion member of Port Perry Legion Branch 419. He passed away October 27, 2004.
