Military Service Recognition Book 430 ONTARIO COMMAND RENAUD, Leonard L. Leonard was born on April 18, 1939 in Windsor, Ontario. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy in 1956. He completed his training at Stadacona, Halifax and first served on HMCS Hunter. He sailed on HMCS Athabaskan Destroyer Escort and flew to Ireland to serve on HMCS Bonadventure Aircraft Carrier. Leonard also sailed on the Huron and Saguenay before returning to Stadacona where he was discharged in 1959. Upon returning home, he became a tool and die maker and retired after 38 years in the profession. RESTORICK, Allen T. Allen was born on September 1, 1917 in Crystal Springs, Saskatchewan. He served with the 7th Canadian Medium Regiment after enlisting in the Army on June 26, 1941. He served with the rank of Craftsman – Fitter in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe during World War II. He was discharged on December 14, 1945. He has earned the following medals: 1939 – 1945 Star, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, France and Germany Star, War Medal 1939 – 1945 and Defence Medal. He was married to Mary Jarvis of Moore Township and they had settled in Sarnia, Ontario and they had two daughters, Betty and June. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. Allen never used to talk much about his tour of duty. He passed away on June 8, 1980. RENOFF, Clifford K. R. Clifford was born on January 2, 1915. He served in the Army during World War II as a Sapper with the Engineers. He served in Canada and in England. Clifford was a member of the Simcoe Legion Branch 79 before he passed away on November 13, 1991.
