427 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND REAMSBOTTOM, Neil Alfred Neil was born on July 10, 1915 in Haileybury, Ontario. He enlisted on September 7, 1943 as a Navigator (Bomber) with the Air Force and he was stationed in Charlottetown, P.E.I. Neil served the RCAF for a term of voluntary service during an emergency and transferred to the RCAF Reserve General Section in Rockcliff, ON, on September 4, 1945, his date of discharge. He passed away on February 24, 2000. REDKO, John J. John was born on April 19, 1926 in Oshawa, Ontario. He enlisted in the Army November 10, 1944 and served in Canada with the Service Corps Infantry, the CNL Infantry and he also served with the Pacific Volunteer Service Corp. He was discharged on December 3, 1946. He has been a member of the Legion Branch 112 for 29 years. REDFEARN, Christopher J. “Chris” Chris was born on March 13, 1938 in Hessle, England. His interest in the military began with the Essex and Kent Scottish Militia unit in Windsor. Chris enrolled in the Royal Canadian Air Force in June 1956 as a fighter pilot. He completed his training at 432 Squadron Bagotville, QC and then on to Gimli, MB to train on the T33 aircraft. Chris was stationed at CFB Penhold, Alberta and CFB Cold Lake where he became a Fighter Interceptive Pilot flying the CF100’s. His last posting was with the 410 Squadron at CFB Uplands, Ottawa. His medals include the Special Service Medal (NATO) and the Canadian Forces Decoration and Clasp. Chris was honourably discharged in August of 1962 at the rank of Major and spent many years supporting the Air Cadets. Chris is a member of the Sir Arthur Currie Legion Branch 116.
