221 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND HENDERSON, David Gordon David was born on January 14, 1897 in Derby Township, Ontario. He enlisted in the Army. He served with the 160th Bruce Battalion in Canada and France during World War I. David was killed in action on September 27, 1918 in France. He is buried in Bucquoy Road Cemetery, Ficheux, France. HENRY, Laurent P. Laurent was born on February 19, 1924 in Kapuskasing, Ontario. He enlisted in the Army on December 15, 1943. He served with the Canadian Infantry Corps, Coastal Artillery Battery during World War II. He was discharged on May 2, 1946. Upon returning to civilian life, he joined the Spruce Falls Company and nine years later became self-employed in Kapuskasing. Laurent has been a member of Kapuskasing Legion Branch 85 for 10 years. HENDERSON, Donald F. Donald was born on June 8, 1934 in Pickering, Ontario. He enlisted in the Army on January 15, 1952. He served as a private with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry and was posted in Korea. He returned home on November 18, 1953 and served with the Army until July 6, 1955. He was a Life Member of Whitby Legion Branch 112. Donald passed away in 2010.
