Volume 23 www.legionnl.com 13 Newfoundland Labrador Command A Branch, A Naval Ship, Sailors, A child's Wish, all the ingredients for a successful event. This is a story of Legion members who willingly stepped forward to raise funds in support of a Children’s charity. Over the past 10 years, the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 45 have hosted the Run-the Rock Team from HMCS St. John's during their run across Newfoundland to raise funds in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation to grant wishes to children who have or are experiencing serious medical issues. Our Branch has supported this most worthwhile cause as one of its main charities in which the membership takes great pride. This being the 28th year that the teams of outstanding sailors from this Naval Ship have completed their run, we as a Branch are especially pleased with the effort the communities of Bonne Bay South put forth in support of this cause.
