LEMESSURIER, Bruce Wayne Service # 108662801 Sergeant Bruce Lemessurier was born in Petries, NL on December 14, 1950. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1970. He served with the Canadian Army in the Infantry until he retired in 1982. He was posted to Winnipeg, MB (1970-73) CFRS Cornwallis, NS (1978-1981) Calgary, AB (1981-1982). He deployed to Cyprus (1972-73/74) and Kandahar, Afghanistan (2010). Bruce was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration, Chief of Defense Staff Commendation, United Nations Forces in Cyprus, Canadian Peacekeeping Service medal and Afghanistan General Service medal. He participated in several military sporting events such as skiing, hockey, broomball and golf and received silver and gold medals. KENNEDY, John M. John was born in St. Mary’s, NL on June 20, 1965. He served with the Royal Canadian Navy and posted in Ontario and Nova Scotia. He deployed to the Persian Gulf, Germany and Israel. He was awarded the Gulf War-United Nations medal and Canadian Forces Decoration.
