She married Fred Earle on December 25th, 1945 and settled in Grand Falls, Newfoundland where they raised three children. She passed away on May 9th, 2001. GRIFFIN (nee Wood), Doris Helen Doris Wood was born in Folkestone Kent in April, 1920. She worked as a nurse (SRN ) in South East England and met her future husband, Dermot Griffin when he was a patient in 1941. They married on June 1st, 1943 in Folkestone Kent. She arrived in Grand Falls, Newfoundland in November of 1945. HEDGES (nee Donald), Elizabeth Elizabeth Donald was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on March 27th, 1921. During the war she worked in a factory making gun shells. She married Sureom Hedges on March 9th, 1945 and came to Grand Falls, Newfoundland on February 10th, 1946. She passed away on November 16th, 1978. MERCER, Penelope Penelope Mercer was born in Scotland on August 29th, 1927. She arrived in Newfoundland on March 26th, 1946 and is presently living in Shears Town, Newfoundland. COOKE (nee Mills), Margaret (Peggy) Margaret Mills was born in Glasgow, Scotland on November 27th, 1909. She married Gerald D. Cooke and came to live in Newfoundland on August 13th, 1945 with two children. She passed away on June 2th, 1997.
