She met and married Robert Clayton Hamlyn while he was serving with the Newfoundland Overseas Forestry Unit and she was working with the British Forestry in the Nursery department at Fort Augustus on the shores of Loch Ness. Their daughter Pauline was born in Fort Augustus and in 1946 they set out for Port Au Choix, Newfoundland. Robert passed away on 30th January, 1994. Marion (Mann) Hann Marion (Mann) Hann was born in Glasgow, Scotland. She met Victor Hann while he was serving with the 166th Newfoundland Field Regiment, RA in Lesmahagow, Scotland. They were married on 4th January, 1947. They arrived in Newfoundland on 13th January, 1947 and travelled by train from Gander to Corner Brook. Her “Soldier Boy” Victor died on 11th January, 1997. Marion is still living in their house in Corner Brook with her daughter and her sister and her husband living close by. Mary (Mann) Hann Mary (Mann) Hann was born in Glasgow, Scotland. She met and married Bill Hann while he served with the 166th Newfoundland Field Regiment, RA in Lesmahagow, Scotland. They were married in 1942 while the Regiment was stationed in Scotland. In July of 1945 she sailed on a small ship with twelve other war brides for Newfoundland. She is now living in Corner Brook, Newfoundland.
