She served with the Royal Canadian Air Force, Women’s Division from May, 1943 - September, 1945. She is presently a member of Botwood Branch #5 of The Royal Canadian Legion. Mary (MacCallum) Froude Mary (MacCallum) Froude born in Kilmartin, Kilmichael Glossary, Scotland on 11th July, 1912. She arrived in Newfoundland in October, 1946. She was the wife of Cyril Froude of Twillingate, Newfoundland. She served on the Ladies Auxiliary of Windsor Branch #49 of The Royal Canadian Legion. She passed away on 2nd April, 1993. Mary (Mackenzie) Gould Mary (Mackenzie) Gould was born in Ullapool, RossShire, Scotland. At the age of seventeen she went to work in Inverness as a Probationer Nurse in Reoedene Maternity Hospital. She married Mike Gould who served with the Newfoundland Overseas Forestry Unit, and they were married on 18th May, 1946. They sailed on the Lady Rodney from South Hampton on Friday, 13th July, 1946 landing in St. John’s, Newfoundland on 22nd July, 1946. After ten days in St. John’s, they left for Corner Brook where they boarded the Northern Ranger and sailed to Port Saunders, NL. They had five children. Her husband, Mike passed away suddenly on 13th May, 1975.
