She arrived in Newfoundland in the Spring of 1946. She was the War Bride of Joseph Sheppard. She served on the Ladies Auxiliary of Windsor Branch #49 of The Royal Canadian Legion and as President for three terms. Joan (Munro) Tilley Joan (Munro) Tilley was born on 25th July, 1927 in Scotland. She married Aarron Tilley of Clarenville, Newfoundland on 28th December, 1945. She arrived in Newfoundland in April of 1946. She is presently a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Clarenville Branch #27 of The Royal Canadian Legion. Rose (Angus) Tucker Rose (Angus) Tucker was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. In 1941, she joined the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force and while waiting for transportation to Bridge North in Wales for basic training she met James Tucker who was serving with the 166th Newfoundland Field Regiment RA in Salisburg Plains in England. They were married and came to Newfoundland on the Queen Elizabeth in December, 1945. They spent many happy years living in Corner Brook. Jim passed away on December 24th, 2002.
