He enlisted in the Air Force and served with the #3 PRC, #418 Squadron, #6418 SE Squadron, #6402 SE Squadron, 2nd TAF, #6412 SE Squadron and #9 PDC in England, Holland, Belgium and Germany duringWorldWar II. Throughout his service, James has held the ranks of Aircraftman Second Class, Armourer, AC1 and Leasing Aircraftman and LAC Leading Aircraftman. He was awarded the Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, War Medal 1939-1945, France and Germany Star, WWII Five Space Medal Ribbon Bar and RCAF Reserve War Service Badge. James passed away in 1966. SKINNER, Morden Earl WWI Morden was born in Petrolia, Lambton, Ontario on October 26, 1891. He was a law student at the University of Manitoba, had a BA, and was on the Honour Roll. He enlisted with the Cameron Highlanders in Selkirk, Manitoba in 1915. He served with the 43rd Battalion as a private and with the 108 Battalion as a sergeant. He was originally a sergeant on September 30, 1917 but requested a lower rank in order to fight in the Expeditionary Force. He received many medals such as the Victory Medal, British War Medal, Memorial Cross, Death Medal. He was to receive another as he was initially an officer. Morden was killed in action on his birthday, October 26, 1917, at the Ridge of Passchendaele. SLIMMON, J. Charles WWII Charles was born in Oak Lake, Manitoba in 1918. He enlisted in the Army and served in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Europe during World War II with the 12th Manitoba Dragoons. His wife was Ina Slimmon. Charles passed away in 2005.
