71 The Royal Canadian Legion MANITOBA & NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO COMMAND www.mbnwo.ca GOURLEY, Margaret Jane WWII Margaret was born on September 6, 1912 and lived in the Bagot, Manitoba area. She joined the Royal Canadian Air Force doing basic training in Winnipeg. She served as a clerk, being stationed in Calgary and Claresholm, Alberta. GREGOR, Joseph James WWII Joseph was born in Fort William, Ontario on August 16, 1920. He enlisted in the Army with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles during World War II and served in Canada, the United Kingdom, Continental Europe and the North Pacific Area. Sergeant Joseph James Gregor was awarded the France and Germany Star and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp. He passed away on February 18, 1987. GRYWINSKI, Steve WWII Steve joined the Light Ack Ack in 1942 and took his basic training at Portage la Prairie. He transferred into Heavy Ack Ack and moved to Prince Rupert, British Columbia. He later transferred to the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals. He received his discharge in March 1946 as Corporal. After service, he lived in Winnipeg and belonged to The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 1.
