177 The Royal Canadian Legion MANITOBA & NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO COMMAND www.mbnwo.ca ROMANSON, Jack WWII Anne and John Romanson came to Hodgson, Manitoba from Montreal in 1913.They had eight children, five of whom served in the Military - Marian, Anne, Esther, Jack and Bill. Jack enlisted in Winnipeg in July 1941. He joined the Manitoba Dragoons Regiment and served in Holland, Belgium and France. He was discharged in Winnipeg in June 1946. On April 5, 1975 Jack passed away in Drayton Valley, Alberta. ROMANSON (ROBINSON), Marian WWII Anne and John Romanson came to Hodgson, Manitoba from Montreal in 1913. They had eight children, five of whom served in the Military- Marian, Anne, Esther, Jack and Bill. Marian served in the Nursing Corps in Montreal during World War II. Later, she resided in Chateauguay, Quebec. ROMANSON, William “Bill” WWII Anne and John Romanson came to Hodgson, Manitoba from Montreal in 1913. They had eight children, five of whom served in the MilitaryMarian, Anne, Esther, Jack and Bill. Bill enlisted in Winnipeg in April 1942 in the Manitoba Dragoons Regiment. He later transferred to A9 Armoured Corps. He received his discharge in Winnipeg in April 1946 having served as a Trooper. Later, he lived in Blackfalds, Alberta.
