169 The Royal Canadian Legion MANITOBA & NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO COMMAND www.mbnwo.ca PRYGROCKI, Bodhan “Bud” WWII Bud enlisted in Winnipeg with the Royal Canadian Air Force wireless section in November 1942. In January 1943 he was sent to the Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, School for Elementary Training in Wireless, and graduated with Leading Aircraftman standing. Following graduation he was sent to Lachine, Quebec for regimental training. Then he was transferred to the RCAF number 1 Wireless School in Montreal, Quebec. Upon graduating, he taught in the wireless school for a short time. Later, he was assigned to the Air Force Base near Hamilton, Ontario in the wireless transmitter section. Late in December he was promoted to sergeant. Bud received his honourable discharge in Winnipeg, in early January 1946 and later resided in Winnipeg, Manitoba. PRYGROCKI, Walter WWII Walter joined the Canadian Army in 1944 during World War II. He was stationed in New Brunswick and was discharged in 1946. PYZIAK, Kazmir M. WWII Kazmir enlisted in the Army on July 20, 1942 in Winnipeg. He joined the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry and took his training at Camp Shilo, Manitoba. Here he spent the next three years in various capacities but mainly in maintenance. Kazmir was discharged from the Army in Winnipeg on June 12, 1945. After farming for forty years he retired to Arborg with his wife Adele in October 1985. Kazmir passed away on January 31, 1990
