He joined the Royal Canadian Army and served in the United Kingdom during World War II. He was a member of Fort William Legion Branch 6. John passed away in 2009. CROWE, Roland C. WWII Roland was born in Hartney, MB in 1916. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served during World War II, obtaining the rank of Flight Lieutenant. He was a member of Hartney Legion Branch 26 for over 40 years and had been Secretary of Treasury. Roland passed away in 2010. CROZIER, William WWI William was born in Manitou, MB on May 14, 1889. He joined the Royal Canadian Army on December 15, 1914 but had previously served with the 18th Mounted Rifles for three years. He sailed from Halifax on February 23, 1915. After service with the 23rd Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, he joined the 8th Battalion. He was awarded the 1914-15 Star, the British War Medal 1914-20 and the Victory Medal 1914-18. William was killed in action in August 1915. CROZIER, Daniel WWI Daniel was born in Manitou, MB on December 9, 1894. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army on March 24, 1916 and was sent to Britain onboard the R.M.S. Empress of Britain on November 11, 1916. He joined the 11th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Forces before joining the 78th Battalion. He served in England and France. His awards include the British War Medal 1914-20 and the Victory Medal 1914-18. Daniel was reported missing at Vimy Ridge on April 9, 1917 and is presumed to have died on that date.
