He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served as a Leading Aircraftman in Canada during World War II. Arnold has passed away and his grave is at Napinka, Manitoba. FABIO, Primo WWII Primo was born in 1922. He enlisted in the Canadian Army and served in Canada with the Canadian Infantry Corps. Primo was a member of Fort William Legion Branch 6 for fifty years before he passed away in 2007. FARGEY, Samuel Francis “Frank” WWI Frank was born in 1895 in La Rivière, Manitoba. He joined the Canadian Army and served in England and France with the 184th Battalion during World War I. He returned to Canada, was a Customs Officer until his retirement, and married Ethel McLean of Kaleida. They had two sons and one daughter. Frank was working at the Winnipeg Airport when he had occasion to pick up the notorious Ken Leishman, also known as the Flying Bandit, who had stolen a U.S. plane. Frank passed away in 1988. FAIR, Thomas G. WWI Thomas was born in Dauphin, Manitoba in 1896. He joined the Canadian Army when he was 16 and served in England and France in World War I. He told stories of long cold nights spent in the trenches and sometimes being given a shot of brandy late at night when they were on guard duty. Thomas passed away in 1987.
