He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve in Winnipeg in October 1943 and served overseas during World War II. Harvey was discharged in December 1945. JAMES (nee FETTERLY), Lucie M. WWII Lucie was born in Manitou, Manitoba in 1924. She served in the Canadian Women’s Army Corps in Canada during World War II. Lucie is a member of West Kildonan Legion Branch 30 in Winnipeg. JOHNSON, Eigill WWII Eigill was born in Arborg, Manitoba in 1925. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy and served in the North Atlantic during World War II. Eigill was a member of Gillam Legion Branch 245. JANZ, Jack E. WWII Jack was born in Elgin, Manitoba in 1915. He joined the Army and served with the Winnipeg Grenadiers in the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals in England and Europe. Jack was awarded the 1939-45 Star, the France and Germany Star, the Defence Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, and the War Medal 193945. He lived all his life in Elgin, where he was a member of Legion Branch 126. He was also a member of Souris Legion Branch 60. Jack passed away in 1985.
