He joined the Army in Winnipeg on October 10, 1939 and served with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry during WWII. William was a member of Morris Legion Branch 111 before he died on February 3, 1998. DANKOWSKI (nee NEISMAN), Margaret Freda “Marg” WWII Marg was born on February 3, 1925 in Ardill, Saskatchewan. She was twenty when on June 5, 1943, she joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in Regina, Saskatchewan. Her twenty-eight months in the Air Force were served in Canada. Marg was posted in Ontario in Guelph and Ottawa (Uplands Air Force Base), in Quebec at St. Hubert, in Moncton and Pennfield, New Brunswick and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. A brother, Gordon Neisman, also served and was sent overseas in October 1945. Marg was honourably released and transferred to the Reserve General Section Class E in October 1945. The Village of Mossbank, Saskatchewan honoured her on December 19, 1945 with a certificate of thanks for her “valiant part in keeping alight the torch of freedom”. Marg was a member of Pine Falls Legion Branch 64 before she died on September 28, 2009. DAVIDSON, B. M. WWII B. M. Davidson joined the Canadian Army in Winnipeg in January 1944 and was discharged there in May 1945. Lance Corporal served in the CO CHOC in France and Belgium. He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. He has been a member of Russell Legion Branch 159. DANYLUK, Peter WWII Peter joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in North Bay, Ontario in February 1943 and served as a Leading Aircraftman in Canada and the United Kingdom. Discharged in Winnipeg in September 1955, Peter received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp. He has been a member of Russell Legion Branch 159.
