He served in the Artillery with the 12th Field Regiment in Canada, Europe and the United Kingdom during World War II. He has been a member of Fort Rouge Legion Branch 97, Fort Garry Branch 90 and Calgary Branch 264 for over forty-nine years. CHAMBERS, William J. WWII William was born in Farlane, Ontario in 1926. He joined the Army and served in Canada with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry during WWII. He was a member of Fort Garry Legion Branch 90 for nine years. William died in 1991. CHESKY, A. M. WWII M. Chesky joined the Army in August 1940 in Winnipeg and was discharged there in September 1945. He served in Canada, England, France, Germany, Holland, and Belgium. BDR Chesky received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, the France and Germany Star, and the War Medal 1939-45. He has been a member of Russell Legion Branch 159.
