Woods enlisted in Winnipeg in July 1940 and was discharged in London, Ontario in October 1945. He was awarded the 1939-45 Star, Defence Medal, France and Germany Star, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp. He has been a member of Russell Legion Branch 159. WORONIESKI, Frank WWII Frank enlisted in October 1940 in Winnipeg and was discharged there in October 1945. He served as a Sergeant with the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and the 1st Light Anti-aircraft Regiment in England, France, Belgium, and Holland. He has been a member of Russell Legion Branch 159. YANKOSKI, Edward T. WWII Edward was born in Binscarth in 1924. He enlisted in May 1943 in Winnipeg and was discharged there in March 1946. He served as a Private with the Canadian Scottish Highlanders in England, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. Edward was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, the 1939-45 Star and the France and Germany Star. He has been a member of Russell Legion Branch 159 for more than sixty years. WRIGHT, William WWI William joined the 45th Battalion and served in France with the 79th Battalion during WWI. William became totally blind as a result of battle.
