He enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces and served in Afghanistan with the 1st Combat Engineer Regiment. TANNER, Keith R. K. WWII Keith was born in Eagle River, Ontario in 1926. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy, Three Rivers Unit, and served on the High Seas. Keith has been a member of Kenora Legion Branch 12 for more than eighteen years. TATARYN, Michael WWII Michael was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1917. He enlisted in the Army and served in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe with the 14th Field Regiment of the Royal Canadian Artillery. He was awarded the France and Germany Star, the Defence Medal, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. Michael was a member of Selkirk Legion Branch 42 for sixty-two years and he died in 2007. TATARYN, Margaret L. WWII Margaret was born in Stuartburn, Manitoba in 1923. She enlisted in the Army and served in Canada with the “K” Company of the Canadian Women’s Army Corp. Margaret was a member of Selkirk Legion Branch 42 for twelve years. She died in 2005.
