He served in Canada as a firefighter with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Martin was a member of Fort Garry Legion Branch 90 for twenty-one years and Saskatchewan’s Hudson Bay Junction & District Branch 130 for thirty years. LEE, Thomas E. WWII Thomas was born in Almonte, Ontario in 1923. He enlisted in the Canadian Army and served with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles in France and Germany during World War II. He was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, the Defence Medal, the France and Germany Star, and the War Medal 1939-45. Thomas has been a member of Atikokan Legion Branch 145 for over thirty-seven years. LEGARY, Ian Freedy WWII Ian was born in 1923 in Pilot Mound, Manitoba. He joined the Army and served with the Lake Superior Regiment in England, France, Belgium, and Germany. After Private Legary was wounded in April 1945, he sailed home on the Lady Nelson on April 20, 1945. Ian was a member of Pilot Mound Legion Branch 62 for forty-seven years before he died in 1986. LEGARY, Albert WWII Albert was born in Pilot Mound, Manitoba. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served during WWII. Albert is a member of Pilot Mound Legion Branch 62.
