He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps in June 1941 and served in Quebec at the POW Camp and at the Prince George Army Camp in British Columbia after he married on April 29, 1944. He was discharged in October 1945. John was a member of Kenora Legion Branch 12 for many years and he passed away on February 25, 2004. HUNKIN, Glen R. WWII Glen was born in Crandall, Manitoba in 1912. He joined the Army and served in Italy and North Africa. Glen passed away in 1968. No additional information is available. HUNTER (nee MILLIGAN), Frances A. WWII Frances was born in Leslie, Saskatchewan in 1921. She joined the Women’s Division of the Royal Canadian Air Force and served from 1942-45 in administrative positions in Ontario at Camp Borden and Toronto. Frances was a member of Boissevain Legion Branch 10 for forty-five years. HUNT, Ernest “Ernie” WWII Ernie was born on September 20, 1921 in Deleau, Manitoba and joined the Royal Winnipeg Rifles on January 5, 1943. He served in England and Continental Europe and had combat duty in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Ernie was discharged on February 15, 1946 and passed away on January 15, 2009.
