He enlisted in 1916 in the Canadian Expeditionary Force and served overseas. John was killed in action at Vimy Ridge in 1917. His remains were never found. HARDERN, Harry A. WWII Harry was born in Trenton-Stoke, England in 1918. He joined the Army and served in Canada with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps. He injured his knee during basic training and was unable to serve further. Harry was a member of Boissevain Legion Branch 10 for forty years. He passed away in 2003. HARLTON, Harvey George Ray SPECIAL DUTY AREA Harvey was born in Deloraine, Manitoba on February 9, 1938. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force on February 22, 1957 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and trained as an air frame technician in St. Jean, Quebec. He served in Trenton, Ontario and in Gimli and Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, as well as in Zweibrücken, Germany. He was released from the service on April 28, 1977. Harvey was a member of Souris Legion Branch 60 for fifteen years and he died on April 30, 2002. HARDERN, Herbert WWI & WWII Herbert was born in Great Britain in 1888. He joined the Canadian Expeditionary Force and served in Canada, France, Belgium and Great Britain during World War I. He also served with the Home Guard during the Second World War but was discharged in 1944. Herbert was a member of Killarney Legion Branch 25 and he passed away in 1953.
