He joined the Army and served with the Canadian Engineers, 11th Battalion in France during World War I. He was badly gassed in one of the campaigns and died on September 3, 1943. He was awarded the Military Medal. WATTS, J. Keith WWII Keith was born in Cartwright, Manitoba in 1920. He joined the Army and served with the Royal Canadian Artillery in England, Italy and Northwest Europe during World War II. He has been a member of Killarney Legion Branch 25 for sixty-four years. WEBSTER, Andrew R. WWII & PEACETIME Andrew was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on June 5, 1925. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy and served on HMCS Quesnel and Strathadam in the Pacific, Atlantic and Mediterranean Seas. Andrew has been a member of Selkirk Legion Branch 42 for forty-two years. WATTS, R. Walker WWI Walker was born and raised in Cartwright, Manitoba in 1887. He joined the Army in 1915 and served with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in France and Belgium, where he was killed in action on June 2, 1916. Walker has no known grave. His name is inscribed on the Menin Gate Memorial in Ypres in Belgium.
