He joined the Army and served in Canada, Britain and Europe. Clarence was a member of Boissevain Legion Branch 10 for several years before he died in 1981. PADFIELD, Aleta M. WWII Aleta was born in Crandall, Manitoba in 1928. She joined the Canadian Women’s Army Corps and served in Canada. She died on March 3, 2004. PAGE, Courtenay D. WWII Courtenay was born in 1912 in Beresford, Manitoba. He joined the Army in 1943, trained as a driver mechanic in Shilo, and served with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles in England, Holland and Germany during World War II. He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the France and Germany Star. His decorations also show a Bar for 3-6 months service in a theatre believed to be Holland and a Bar for overseas duty. Courtenay was a member of Brandon Legion Branch 3 before he passed away in 2001. PADFIELD, Elsie M. C. WWII Elsie was born in Crandall, Manitoba in 1926. She joined the Army and served in Canada with the Canadian Women’s Army Corps. She was a clerk in Hamilton, Ontario and was at the Canadian Army Trade School.
