He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1941 and served on Canada’s east coast. William is living in Winnipeg. McGILL, James Andrew WWI James was born to David and Ellen McGill and grew up in the Camille district near Holland, Manitoba. He taught at Camille School before enlisting in the Royal Flying Corps and serving as a Second Lieutenant with the 80th Squadron during World War I. James was killed in action on September 6, 1918 while behind enemy lines in France. His name is listed on the Arras Memorial in Pas de Calais, France. McINTOSH, Harvey F. WWII Harvey was born in MacGregor, Manitoba in 1924. He joined the Army and took his basic training in Shilo, Manitoba then was sent to England in the spring of 1943. He served with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in England, Italy, Belgium and Holland and was discharged in 1945. A member of MacGregor Legion Branch from 1945, Harvey died in 2000. McGREGOR, George D. WWII George was born in Manitou, Manitoba in 1921. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in Southeast Asia with the 357 Special Duty Squadron, which dropped agents of Force 136 into enemy territory. Force 136 was the Intelligence Branch of the British Army whose agents gathered information on enemy activities and sent it back to headquarters. The range of operations was from the Chinese Border to Singapore. George was a member of Manitou Legion Branch 21 for fifty years.
