During World War II, he joined the Royal Canadian Regiment and was killed in action on October 11, 1944. Arthur is buried at Bari War Cemetery in Italy. LAUGHLAND, Wilfred WWI Wilfred was born in Hartney, Manitoba and joined the 144th Battalion and then the 52nd Battalion, 3rd Division, serving in Lens and Cambrai in France during World War I.
