No additional information is available. DORAN, Gareld A. WWI Gareld was born in Meaford, Ontario in 1888. He joined the 222nd Overseas Battalion and served in Canada, Great Britain and France. When Gareld passed away in 1979, he had been a member of the Boissevain Branch #10 of The Royal Canadian Legion for twenty-six years. DOUGLAS, Arthur R. WWI Arthur was born in Dauphin, Manitoba in 1899 where on October 1915, he enlisted then trained at Camp Hughes, MB as part of the 226th Battalion. Posted to England in 1916, he joined the 44th Battalion CEF in April 1917 in the closing stages of the Battle for Vimy Ridge. He remained with the 44th till the end of the war, serving through Passchendaele and the final advance into Belgium. Awarded the Military Medal in 1919 for bravery, he was discharged in June 1919. In 1930, he was a founding member of RCL Cartwright-Mather Branch 86, serving as its President and District Representative for fifty-six years. Arthur died in 1986 at Winnipeg, MB. DORNIAN, Peter WWII Peter was born in Saskatchewan in 1924 and joined the Edmonton Fusiliers in June 1943, serving in Canada. His untimely medical issues prevented him from overseas service so he did guard duty and recruit training in Ontario and New Brunswick until he was discharged in June 1946. Peter passed away in 1998.
