WWII Leonard was born in Souris, Manitoba in 1922 and joined the 17th Battery, 4th Armoured Division, 15th Field Regiment in Winnipeg. He served in Canada, England and Europe. After the war, he worked as a trainman-conductor for the CPR until 1982 when he retired to spend time with his family. He’s been a member of the Souris Branch #60 of The Royal Canadian Legion for sixty-five years. CLEMENT, Harold F. WWII Harold was born in Russell, Manitoba in 1926 and enlisted in Regina in November 1943 with the Royal Canadian Air Force, serving in Canada. He was discharged in Winnipeg in March 1946 and is a member of the Russell Branch #159 of The Royal Canadian Legion. CLEVETT, George Laban WWI George was born on February 22, 1898 in Sussex, England and died on November 12, 1917 at age 19. He came to Souris, Manitoba in May of 1907 and was in the Army during WWI with the 43rd Battalion-Canadian Infantry Manitoba Regiment. He was killed in action and is buried at Plot VIII, Row G, Grave # 38 of the Bedford House Cemetery, enclosure # 4 Zillebeke, Belgium, located near Ypres, West Flanders, France. He was the son of Reuben Thomas and Emma Jane Clevett of Souris, Manitoba. CLEMENT, Rodney S. WWII Rodney was born in Russell, Manitoba in 1919 and enlisted in May 1941 in Regina with the Air Force’s 626 Squadron. He served in the United Kingdom and was discharged in May 1945 in Winnipeg. Rodney received the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Force Medal and had been a member of the Russell Branch #159 of The Royal Canadian Legion when he passed away in 1969.
