WWII Arthur enlisted in February 1943 in Winnipeg with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles, Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders. He was discharged in May 1945 after having served in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. Arthur passed away in 1999. MORROW, William Jack WWII Jack was born in Ireland in 1925. He came to Canada at the age of four and attended Arrow River and Blain schools. He joined the Canadian Active Army on November 17, 1943 and was twice wounded in action. He was discharged on July 26, 1945 and later worked for the Minolta Municipality for twenty-five years as a road grader. Jack suffered extensively with arthritis. He received the 1939-45 Star, the France and Germany Star, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp and the War Medal 1939-45. He passed away in 1998 and had been a member of the Miniota Legion Branch #66 for forty-two years. MOULTON, Wellington W. WWII Wellington joined the Royal Winnipeg Rifles and served in England, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He has been member of the General Lipsett Branch #99 for fifty-nine years. MOSCRIP, Charles WWI Charles was born on March 12, 1893 near Belmont, Manitoba. He joined the Army with the Canadian Engineers, 3rd Division on January 1, 1916, served in France with the 9th Battalion and was discharged on April 1, 1919. After the war, he began farming and homesteaded with his family, first in the Palestine district near Gladstone then in Snowdon, Saskatchewan in 1930. He was accidentally killed on May 26, 1931 and is buried in the Gladstone Cemetery, Manitoba.
