She joined the Canadian Women’s Army Corps, # 110 Depot Company and served in Canada. No additional information is available. ARDAGH, William J. WWII William was born in Wawanesa, Manitoba in 1914. He joined the 3rd Division Royal Canadian Artillery Light Anti-Aircraft Division as a gunner and served in England, France, Belgium, Germany and Holland. He passed away in 2001 and was a Life Member of the Hartney Branch #26 of The Royal Canadian Legion. ARSENAULT, Arthur J. WWII Arthur was born in Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba on July 3, 1921 to Albert and Olive Arsenault. He enlisted in the Canadian Army at District Depot # 10 in Winnipeg on January 22, 1943 and was transferred to the 100th Canadian Army Basic Training Centre at Portage la Prairie, then to Camp Borden. Due to the dire need for help at home, he was granted compassionate leave from August 23 to October 3, 1943 and additional leaves took him to full discharge on September 13, 1945. Art received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the 1939-1945 War Medal and was a member of RCL Lac du Bonnet Branch 164 for fourteen years when he passed away in 2005. ARSENAULT, Albert WWII Albert was born in Bloomfield, Prince Edward Island on January 8, 1893. After the turn of the century, he migrated west to Manitoba where he lived most of his life in the Lac du Bonnet area. During the War of 1914-18, he enlisted as a Private into the Royal Winnipeg Rifles and the Canadian Army Medical Corps. After basic training, he was posted to England where he met Mary Olive Ford, whom he later married at the Magdalene Church, Sea Road in the County of Sussex, England. Their two sons and daughter joined the Canadian Forces in WWII. Albert died on January 21, 1974 and had been a member of RCL Lac du Bonnet Branch #164.
