He served in the Army Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment from June 1941 and did his basic training at Shilo, Manitoba, and Debert, Nova Scotia. In June 1942, he went to England until 1944 and served in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Bill was discharged in May 1946 and has been a member of the Grandview Branch #14 of The Royal Canadian Legion for 63 years. CAMERON, Jack WWII Jack was born in Boissevain, Manitoba, in 1919. He joined the 12th Manitoba Dragoons training firstly at Portage, then at Silo and from there to Camp Borden, Ontario, serving in Canada, England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Jack passed away in 2002 and had been a member of Boissevain Branch #10 of The Royal Canadian Legion for over 50 years. CAMPBELL, Elspeth J. WWII Elspeth was born in Dumfries, Scotland, in 1925. She joined the Royal Corps of Signals serving in England. She has been a member of the Atikokan Branch #145 of The Royal Canadian Legion for over 50 years. CAMERON, Ronald J. PEACETIME Ronald was born in Boissevain, Manitoba. He joined the Royal Canadian Dragoons Armoured Corps, serving in Canada. He passed away in 1968.
