61 The Royal Canadian Legion MANITOBA & NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO COMMAND www.mbnwo.ca BRINDLE, William Earnest WWI William, son of Lionel and Elizabeth Brindle of Souris, Manitoba, was born in January 1895. He joined the Manitoba Regiment, 8th Battalion and was killed in action on October 3, 1916. He is buried at St. Sever Cemetery, Rouen, France. BROKE, Harold A. P. WWII Harold was born in Bodwin, Cornwall, England, in 1916. He joined the Army and served in England. He was a member of the Boissevain Branch #10 of The Royal Canadian Legion for 46 years. He passed away in 1992. BROWN, Francis “Wes” WWII Francis was born in Emo, Ontario, in 1913 and joined the 39th Company Canada Provost, serving in Canada. He passed away in 1978 and had been a member of Emo Gen Lipsett Branch #99 of The Royal Canadian Legion for over 30 years. BROMMELL, Robert Bruce WWI Robert, son of Joseph and Margaret Brommell of Souris, Manitoba, joined the Manitoba Regiment, 8th Battalion and was killed in action on April 25, 1915, at the age of 20. He is commemorated at Menin Gate, Ypres, Belgium.
