He joined the Fort Garry Horse 34th Cavalry Regiment “C” Squadron in 1918 and served in England and France. While travelling overseas in 1918, his ship sank off the east coast of Canada, fortunately there was no loss of life. David served until his discharge in May 1919. He passed away in 1976, and was a member of Rivers, MB, Branch of The Royal Canadian Legion. RICHARDSON, Robert WWI Robert was born in Aldergove, BC, in 1896. He enlisted in 1916 with the 203rd Battalion and then transferred to the 78th Grenadiers Canadian Infantry Manitoba Regiment in France. He was killed in action at Vimy Ridge on April 9, 1917, and is buried at the Vimy Memorial in France. His family was awarded the Memorial Cross. ROBERTSON, Rodger WWII Rodger was born in Nome, North Dakota, USA, in 1919. He joined the United States Navy, serving on the USS Stonewall in the South Pacific Theatre, New Guinea, Phillipines, Okinawa and Korea. He passed away in 1983. ROBERTSON, Clyde S. WWI Clyde was born in Snowflake, Manitoba, in 1892. He joined the Army and served in England with the 18th Regiment COC and worked at the Ordinance Store Depot. His family was told that he did not cross to mainland Europe because he had flat feet. He passed away in 1959 and was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #35.
