He joined the Royal Canadian Army Service Corp and served in Canada, England and North Western Europe. He passed away in 2007 and had been a member of the Winnipeg Branch of The Royal Canadian Legion for forty years and Fort Garry Branch #90 for ten years. POIRIER, Charles A. KOREA & SPECIAL DUTY & PEACTIME Charles was born in New Carlisle, Quebec, on July 27, 1929. He joined the 2nd RCHA (1950-1961) and the RCOC (1953-1955), RCOC (1961-1973), serving in Korea, Germany and Vietnam. He has been a member of Kenora Branch #12 of The Royal Canadian Legion for 18 years. POOLE, Fred B. WWII Fred was born in Foxwarren, Manitoba, in 1914. He enlisted in Winnipeg in June 1942 with the RCEME serving in the United Kingdom. He was discharged in Winnipeg in February 1946, and passed away in 1983. Fred was a member of Russell Branch #159 of The Royal Canadian Legion. POITRAS, Ferdinand Walter WWII Ferdinand was born in St. Vital, Manitoba, in 1920. He joined the Winnipeg Grenadiers and served in Canada, Jamaica and Hong Kong. He passed away in 2008 and had been a member of Elmwood Branch #9 of The Royal Canadian Legion for 12 years.
