He was discharged in November 1945 and received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, the Italy Star, the France/Germany Star and the 1939-45 Star. Edward passed away in 2007 and had been a member of Russell Branch #159 of The Royal Canadian Legion for 48 years. FAULKS, Harriet A. WWII Harriet was born in Carman, Manitoba, on March 31, 1917. She joined up at the age of 25 in Vancouver, BC, on July 30, 1942, with the Canadian Women’s Army Corp and served in January 4, 1945, when she took her discharge in Regina, SK. Harriet received her Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the War Medal 19391945. She also had three brothers who served in WWII and all returned safely. She married and had five children and resided in Morris, MB, until her passing on May 6, 1994. FIARCHUK, Michael Roy WWII Michael was born in Horod, Manitoba, in 1918 and joined the Winnipeg Grenadiers, serving in Canada. No additional information is available. FERRIS, Harold W. WWII Harold was born in Holland, Manitoba, in 1922. He joined the 608th Squadron of the Air Force as a wireless air gunner. He was killed in action in the Mediterranean in 1944.
