In the Service of Canada exemplifies the phrase, “lest we forget.” It reminds us to be grateful for the service and sacrifices of people in our armed forces and RCMP. It reminds us that our nation is strong and free because of them. The stories in this edition are precious and important to our history. By recording veterans’ unique contributions to Canada, we ensure that future generations recognize their service and work to build and preserve peace and security across Canada and the world.
