Military Service Recognition Book 40 Granada Gold (TSXV: GGM) owns the past-producing Granada Gold Mine located 5 km south of the historic mining community of Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. It is situated on the prolific Cadillac Trend in the Abitibi Region where numerous gold mines continue to operate. The area has produced over 50 million ounces of gold in the past 100 years. The Granada mine produced gold in the 1930s but mining stopped when fire destroyed the surface structures. The company acquired the property in 2006 and since then has completed extensive development towards its goal of producing 100,000 ounces of gold per year. A 1.2 million ounce gold resource has been established based on 125,000 metres of drilling to date. With planned infill drilling it is anticipated the gold resource could increase significantly. Additional plans are to commence mining the fully permitted 75,000 ounces of near surface 4.2 g/t gold ore as soon as a local mill enters into an agreement to process the ore.
