LEST WE FORGET 283 PETERSON, Jacqueline L. Jacqueline was born in Preeceville, Saskatchewan in 1964. She served in the Air Force with 15 Wg, 19 Wg, 17 Wg and 8 Wg. After twenty years with the CAF in the Administrative Branch, she served at several Wings (Moose Jaw, Comox, Winnipeg, Trenton) as well as Startop in Ottawa and in an RSS position at Minto Armouries as the Chief Clerk for The Royal Winnipeg Rifles and the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders. In addition to serving in Canada, she was also deployed in 2008 to Camp Mirage and in 2016 to Fort Stewart for B Sqn Ex as the Chief Clerk. She was promoted to Sgt in 2017. PETRIE, Clarence “Slim” WWI Clarence was in World War I with the 164th US Infantry and came from Montana to Tisdale in 1927. He married Annie Sawyer in 1928 and they moved to their homestead and farmed until 1949, when they moved to Arborfield and raised three children:Wanda, Beverley and Bill. Clarence passed away in 1959. Annie joined the Legion Auxiliary. She passed away in 1989. PETERSON, Jeffrey W. Jeffrey was born inYorkton, Saskatchewan in 1962. He enlisted in the Air Force and served with 15 Wg, 19 Wg, 17 Wg, 8 Wg, CFSCE, TRACSTU, AMDU, ATESS, 1 & 2 Cdn Air Div in CFE Europe, Canada and Afghanistan. Over his 35+ years of service with the CAF, he spent the first 28 years as a RADAR Technician then an ATIS Technician reaching the rank of CWO. On return to Canada from his deployment to Kabul in 2009, he was Commissioned from the Ranks to Captain. In 2015, he was promoted to his final rank of Major which he held until his retirement in 2017. During his career, he worked on both Heavy RADAR and Airfield RADAR systems, instructed electronics, supervised a MRT (Mobile Repair Team) on a nationwide Military/Civilian air navigation system, an ISSO (Information Systems Security Officer), a career manager for untrained ATIS NCMs and CELE (Air) Officers and finally as the Occupational Qualifications Manager for both the ATIS Technician and the CELE (Air) Officer.
