LEST WE FORGET 67 ARCAND, Louis WWI Louis was born on July 13, 1898, in Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan and enlisted with the 5th Battalion on June 1, 1916 and was discharged on January 25, 1919 after serving in Canada, Britain and France. Louis received the British War Medal and the Victory Medal. He was wounded in action on August 12, 1918. ARMSTRONG, Samuel Gordon WWI Samuel was born on July 23, 1896. He joined the British Army Infantry in May 1917 and did his army training in England and Ireland. Private Armstrong was wounded while serving in France and convalesced in England. He was discharged in January 1919. Samuel passed away on April 5, 1989. ARCAND, Louis O. WWII Louis was born on July 13, 1898, in Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan and enlisted with the Regina Rifle Regiment on June 20, 1940 and was discharged on September 8, 1943 after serving in Canada and Britain. He received the Defence Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp and the War Medal 1939-1945. Louis passed away in 1992.
