He was discharged on December 2, 1943 and received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, and the War Medal 1939-1945. Francis passed away in 1961. SANDERSON, William Vital WWI William was born in Muskeg Lake Cree Nation on February 4, 1912. He enlisted in the Army on February 23, 1917, serving in Canada, Britain and France. He was discharged on February 12, 1918, and received the British Medal and the Victory Medal. William passed away in 1981. SANDERSON, William B. WWI William was born in Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the 28th Battalion on February 23, 1917, serving in Canada, France and Britain. He was wounded in action on September 10, 1918, and was discharged on February 12, 1919. He received the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.
