LEST WE FORGET 285 QUEWEZANCE, William Joseph WWII William was born in 1905 on the Keeseekoose First Nations Reserve, Saskatchewan. He enlisted on June 19, 1942, with the Unit 5 C.I.B Workshop, his trade was that of driver mechanic “C.” His rank was Gunner. Bill served in Canada and England until his discharge on May 16, 1944, when he received an honourable discharge. He passed away on August 22, 1982. REIN, Ferdinand WWII Ferdinand was born in Zawaneye, Poland, in 1923. He enlisted in the Army on October 28, 1943, at Regina, Saskatchewan, and trained as a gunner. In May 1944, he took part in the Gas-Compound-Mustard Experiment in Southern Alberta. He was discharged on October 31, 1945, on compassionate grounds. Ferdinand passed away in 2003. RATHWELL, Lloyd WilliamThomas WWII Lloyd was born in 1920 in Nadeauville, Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps and served in Canada and Holland. After the war he farmed in the Tompkins area for forty years. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Tompkins Branch 140. Lloyd passed away in 2001.
